Your questions answered

  • How long is the programme?

    • The minimum commitment for Fundraising Masters is 3 months

    • Most fundraising campaigns take 4-6 months to complete.

    • Our goal is to empower you with the strategy, skills and support you need to be successful as quickly as possible.

    • If you want to extend your coaching commitment beyond the initial term, then that's always an option.
  • How much time commitment is involved?

    • You'll have regular hourly coaching sessions with Julia each fortnight, or sometimes more frequently. 

    • We recommend you also set aside an hour or two every day to work on preparing for and running your campaign. 

    • The more energy you can put into raising the money you need, the better - and we'll make sure your energy goes in the right direction.


  • How regularly will I have one-to-one coaching sessions?

    • Coaching sessions are fortnightly, and Julia finds it best to schedule them at regular times with you. But we can be flexible depending on your needs. 

    • It often makes sense to have sessions more frequently at the start, then space them out a little as your campaign rolls out.

    • If you need to move a session, as long as Julia has enough notice, that's no problem at all. We know that you have many other things you have to juggle in your diary.

    • You'll have unlimited email support throughout, so you'll never be left hanging.
  • Can my co-founder join the programme with me?

    • Absolutely. If you'd like your co-founder to participate in all the coaching sessions, and have access to all the fundraising resources we provide, then we welcome them!

    • And it's also fine if your co-founder's a guy - we have nothing against men! But our primary interest is giving you, the female founder, the very best chance of success.
  • What kind of investors can you connect me to?

    • We can connect you to early stage Venture Capital firms, investment and crowdfunding platforms, syndicates and to some leading angel investors. The most important thing is connecting you with investors that are the right fit.

    • We'll also support you on your outreach to your own network, and support you in building that out. In our experience, this can be an extremely rich source of potential investors.

    • A few things that are important to note here. We are NOT official ' introducers' or intermediaries. That means we don't take a success fee from an introduction, or come along to investor meetings with you. 

    • Our primary relationship is with you, the founder, not with the investor. We're on YOUR side, and our goal is to support you in negotiating and securing the best investment deal possible. We're here to level the playing field for you.

    • You should also know that at seed stage, investors want to meet with you the founder, not an intermediary. Outsourcing investor meetings and deal negotiation to someone else really isn't the right approach. 

    • Our role is to empower you to raise investment yourself, by helping you with your strategy, developing your skills, and giving you the support you need for success.
  • Can you connect me to other experts I'll need?

    • Absolutely. At the most basic level, you'll need good legal and finance experts to help with your fundraising. If you don't have these in place already, we'll connect you to the right people.

    • We work with an extensive rota of expert partners who can help with other elements of your fundraising and growth plans, should you need them, for example, copywriting, design, videography. You name it, we probably know someone who can help, and we'll be happy to introduce you. 
  • How much does the programme cost?

    • Your investment in the Fundraising Masters coaching programme is predominantly fee based, with a monthly retainer by direct debit.

    • There is also a deferred fee and equity share only paid and issued upon your successful fundraise

    • Julia is very selective about the clients she works with. By sharing the risk in fees, this demonstrates her belief in your business, investment potential, and long term opportuity to build value.

    • We'll be happy to talk in more detail about fees once you're invited to join the programme.
